Well, I think this week we all know what the story is....get ready for Hurricane Sandy!  It seems crazy that in New Hampshire, we are going to witness an earthquake and hurricane back-to-back.  All I have heard people talking about is what they are doing to prepare and how bad they think the storm will be.  Hopefully it is not, as I have not been too concerned about it.  My house is on the same electrical grid as the airport so I'm not really worried about power.  We have a wood stove in addition to oil and pellet stove, so no problems there.   The high winds could actually help me out too because my lawn is covered in leaves that need to be blown away!
Here is a video (if you didn't already know) about what you should have to be prepared for the storm.  You can also get up to the minute details about weather conditions by going to WMUR's site, so hopefully you don't lose power!http://www.wmur.com/weather  Also in New Hampshire this week, we saw yet another homicide.  This time in Manchester, where 29 year old Evan Smith was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder for the slaying of his father.  The rise in number of violent crimes being committed in the Granite State is alarming as we have seen our share of high profile cases over the past several years.  To learn more about this most recent incident, you can go to http://www.wmur.com/news/nh-news/Police-arrest-Manchester-man-in-connection-with-homicide/-/9857858/17161018/-/kfqwhxz/-/index.html
